The old American ProLine electric tank was drained and pulled out. Mark and Ernie set a new Bradford White electric water heater in the same spot, insulated the hot and cold lines, piped the relief valve to the floor and tied everything back in around the homeowner's water softener and filtration system.
Two-tank setup with a new Bradford White power-vent heater
A large home running two water heaters in tandem. We added a Bradford White power-vent gas tank next to the existing commercial unit, vented it in PVC, and piped it into the hot water recirculation loop with a new thermal expansion tank and shutoffs so either tank can be serviced without losing hot water.

Handyman install vented with plastic pipe
This gas water heater's exhaust was run in plastic pipe. A standard atmospheric heater sends hot flue gas up the vent, and the plastic has scorched and started melting at the draft hood. That can leak carbon monoxide into the house or start a fire. Atmospheric water heaters need a metal vent connector, and this one had to be corrected before it could stay in service.
